Usb device not recognized

You are starting your computer one day and your usb devices are "Unknown Device"? Well the only thing that you have to do is to shut down your machine, unplug the power cord and wait for 2-3 minutes, replug the power and start your computer. This will make your USB devices to work again.

Laptop rebooting in normal mode but loading in safe mode

OK, today I had 2 laptops with bad management! One had 3 antiviruses installed!!! Can you believe that someone can install 3 different antiviruses on the same operating system?! On this one I boot it on safe mode, made a backup of user's files and installed Windows 7. Everything OK.
The other one has Windows Vista Home Premium with service pack 1 and 2 antiviruses! Boot it in safe mode, uninstall antiviruses, disable unused services and start-up programs, boot in normal mode and upgrade to service pack 2 and all other updates. Installed Norton Internet Security 2010, scanned for viruses: everything ok here too.
On the other hand, the first one, a LG r510 has  some keys on the keyboard witch are not working. I will search first to see how much will cost a replacement keyboard and if is not a decent price I will try to fix it.

Fixing a problem with playing youtube movies: the sound from the speakers was like a whistle.

So there is  a laptop Toshiba Satellite m70-122 with Windows XP Home Edition which refuses to play normally the sounds from YouTube movies. The sounds was like a whistle!!! Strange ... first time to see something like this!!! I was checking the drivers for the sound card: old! Saying to my self: I will update the drivers and everything will be OK! But I took a look at windows version and was Service pack 2...oh no, I will have allot to do! Calling my customer to inform about the delay, google search about the problem and I found nothing relevant. I found a page  with "11 fixes for no sound in Flash videos" at http://www.codecguide.com/fix_for_flash_sound_problems.htm and the must important tip from that page was to delete the following folders:
C:\Documents and Settings\%UserName%\Application Data\Adobe\Flash Player
C:\Documents and Settings\%UserName%\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash
those are temporary file folders and if one file is corrupted than a sound problem could arise!

I updated the windows to SP3, downloaded & installed K-lite codec pack, cleaned temporary internet files (from IE and Mozilla), updated drivers for the sound card, updated Flash player to the last version and finally the sound is ok!

Hope that will help all of you with the same problem!
